Learn More About Carolina Waterfowl Rescue

Promoting rescue, rehabilitation, release or re-homing of native wildlife, waterfowl and surrendered pets and farm animals.

CWR is run by federally licensed wildlife rehabilitators who provide sanctuary, rescue, and rehabilitation for wildlife, farm, and exotic animals. In 2021 CWR provided care for over 7,200 animals. The rescue depends on volunteers who donate their time, money, and expertise to helping animals in need throughout the Carolinas. We assist local law enforcement in seizure cases and investigates nuisance referrals. Domestic fowl, farm, and exotic animals that have been surrendered to our care are available for adoption.

Engagement Opportunities:

Carolina Waterfowl Rescue rely on volunteers throughout the year to help with our hundreds of resident animals, songbird babies and owner surrenders. Ask about ways to get involved during your volunteer project!
