  • Where can I park?

The Co-op’s parking area is limited so parking on Acadia St is recommended.

  • What should I bring/wear?

Participants should wear close-toed shoes, and bring gloves and a hat.

  • What will be provided by the host?

The Durham Co-op will provide bike stands, bike tools, guidance on how to remove parts.

  • What if it rains?

This is a rain or shine event. In the case of inclement weather, the workday will resume the following day, Fri. April 12, 12:30-3pm.

Learn More About the Durham Bike Co-op

Helping make biking accessible for everyone in Durham.

The Durham Bicycle Cooperative is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit community bicycle project. Bicycles have the power to make our local communities a better place through sound environmental practices, a commitment to sustainable economics and social equality, involvement and outreach with our local community, and promoting cycling as a healthy fitness and wellness activity.

Engagement Opportunities:

Bikes donated to the Co-op are carefully inspected. Bikes judged to time consuming to repair are stripped for parts. Volunteers are always needed help the Co-op by learning how to remove good parts off of donated bikes! Ask about ways to get involved during your volunteer project!
