Our mission is to protect, restore, and inspire appreciation of the natural world. That means conserving places full of beauty and wonder. It means creating parks, trails, and greenways for everyone to enjoy. It means restoring natural areas, so they can thrive again. It means sparking a love for nature that could change someone’s whole life. Conserving Carolina has helped protect over 47,000 acres in Henderson, Transylvania, and Polk Counties and parts of Upstate SC! We are ensuring that precious mountains, rivers, forests, and farms will be here for future generations. We’ve helped protect treasures like DuPont and Headwaters State Forests, Chimney Rock State Park, Bearwallow Mountain and other trails in the Hickory Nut Gorge—as well as many more local parks, trails, and greenways!
