River Cleanup
April 11th, 12:30-3pm
Afterparty, 3-4pm

Register here by April 1st

  • What will I be doing?

For our project, we will be hosting a river cleanup along the shorelines of the South Fork River in McAdenville, NC. We will not be in the water, but picking up trash and other debris left behind from the floods that occurred recently. After the cleanup, we will head to our headquarters (across the street from the cleanup site) in McAdenville, NC. There is plenty of parking, bathrooms, and supplies will be taken care of for the cleanup.

  • Where do I go?

We will meet at 501 Lakeview Dr, McAdenville, NC.

  • Where can I park?

Plenty of parking is located onsite.

  • What should I bring/wear?

Participants should bring a filled reusable water bottle and wear shoes and clothes that can get dirty. The floods left us a bit of a mess in places so there’s no telling what the overall environmental impact on the land will be by April.

  • What will be provided by the host?

All clean up supplies will be provided.

  • Any special considerations?

This will be outdoors in the elements, in nature, possibly in or near water.

  • What if it rains?

This is a rain or shine event. In the case of inclement weather, the workday will resume the following day, Fri. April 12, 12:30-3pm.

  • Any more questions?

Contact your team representative for any questions leading up to the event.
