Native Pollinator Plant Propagation
April 11th, 12:30-3pm
Afterparty, 3-4pm

Register here by April 1st

  • What will I be doing?

This will be a joint project with Apiopolis and the Beeloved Community Garden in Raleigh. The Beeloved Community Garden is a native plant garden in Raleigh and a host apiary for one of Apiopolis’ experimental honey bee shelters. The project would be transplanting native plants from plugs to larger pots for both Beeloved Community Garden’s spring native plant sale and Apiopolis’ pollinator habitat installations.

  • Where do I go?

2506 Vanderbilt Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27607

  • Where can I park?

The church’s parking lot will be available during the event for parking.

  • What should I bring/wear?

Participants should bring gloves, hat, and a reusable water bottle.

  • What will be provided by the host?

Potting soil, pots, plants, some tools and gloves.

  • Any other considerations?

The garden has gravel, mulch and stone paths. There are honey bees on site. There is a water bottle refill station at the church across the street for folks to fill their personal bottles. They have epi-pens if bee stings are a concern though have yet to be employed and the church’s liability insurance covers the garden and bees.

  • What if it rains?

This is a rain or shine event. In the case of inclement weather, the workday will resume the following day, Fri. April 12, 12:30-3pm.

  • Any more questions?

Contact your team representative for any questions leading up to the event. For day-of questions, please contact Alice Hinman. Email: alicehinman@apiopolis.org |  Day-Of Phone: (919) 449-8775
