Trail Building at Horseshoe Road Nature Preserve
April 11th, 12:30-3pm
Afterparty, 3-4pm
Corporate volunteers will work with Tar River Land Conservancy staff and volunteers to build hiking trails at the Horseshoe Road Nature Preserve. Participants will use hand tools (rakes, hoes, shovels, and pruners) to clear branches along new trail corridors, remove leaves, and smooth trails. Participants may also help construct footbridges over small streams and install benches at scenic locations.

Gravel parking area at this address. Overflow parking along road outside entrance to preserve.
Volunteers should bring gloves and a reusable water bottle, and wear work clothes and shoes. Volunteers should also bring a camping chair or ground blanket for the afterparty as seating will be limited!
Gloves, tools, drinks, snacks, safety glasses, sunscreen, bug repellant.
Participants may need to hike up to a mile to work areas during the event.
This is a rain or shine event. In the case of inclement weather, the workday will resume on Fri. April 12, 12:30-3pm.
