Cary Tree Archive Maintenance
April 11th, 12:30-3pm
Afterparty, 3-4pm

Register here by April 1st

  • What will I be doing?

Volunteers will get a chance to get their hands dirty – we’ll be planting a few native trees in the Cary Tree Archive as well as adding tree protectors, mulching trees, and removing invasive species from the area.  The Cary Tree Archive is an 8-acre forest restoration project on HOA land run by private citizens, in an effort to reclaim some tree canopy in Cary and educate and inspire others to do the same.

  • Where do I go?

3351 SW Cary Pkwy, Cary, NC 27513

  • Where can I park?

Parking is at the YMCA across the street at 101 YMCA Dr, Cary, NC 27513. Access to the Archive is walkable via the greenway from the YMCA parking lot. Anyone with a disability is welcome to get a ride from us over to the worksite.

  • What should I bring/wear?

Volunteers should bring gloves if desired, and a reusable water bottle. Volunteers should also bring a camping chair or ground blanket for the afterparty as seating will be limited!

  • What will be provided by the host?

All tools, water, and knowledge provided on-site.

  • What if it rains?

This is a rain or shine event. In the case of inclement weather, we will resume the following day, Fri. April 12th, 3:30-4pm.

Learn More About Trees for the Triangle

Improving the ecological and social resilience or the Triangle area through the planting of trees. The goal of Good Hope Farm is to honor Cary’s agricultural heritage while increasing the community’s access to farmland and connecting its residents to local, healthy food. They license plots up to two acres to new and expanding farmers, with all necessary equipment and infrastructure available on site.
