Park, Stream and Street Cleanup
April 11th, 12:30-3pm
Afterparty, 3-4pm

Register here by April 1st

  • What will I be doing?

Volunteers will clean up in and around a park in a traditionally underserved part of Charlotte. Staff from Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services will also be on site to lead portions of the group to clean up around the park and in a nearby stream. KCB staff will lead some volunteers in a clean up of the neighboring streets.

  • Where do I go?

Camp Greene Park, 1221 Alleghany St, Charlotte, NC 28208

  • Where can I park?

There is plenty of parking at the park.

  • What should I bring/wear?

Participants should wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes that they wouldn’t mind getting dirty; and bring a filled reusable water bottle, and a hat (if desired).

  • What will be provided by the host?

Volunteers will be provided safety vests, litter grabbers, gloves, trash bags, waders (for those going in the stream), water, snacks, sunscreen, and insect repellant.

  • What if it rains?

This is a rain or shine event. In the case of inclement weather, the workday will resume the following day, Fri. April 12, 12:30-3pm.

Learn More About Keep Charlotte Beautiful

Working together to create a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Charlotte

Keep Charlotte Beautiful (KCB) inspires and educates people to take action every day to improve and beautify their community environment. The KCB board works closely with neighborhood organizations and homeowner groups, as well as with area businesses, schools, and local governments, to create a healthier environment and enhance the quality of life for Charlotteans.

Engagement Opportunities:

KCB operates Charlotte’s Adopt a Street Program, a free opportunity to give back by cleaning up litter along a mile of road three times a year or more. KCB also works with many partners to host larger public cleanups throughout the year. Ask about ways to get involved during your volunteer project!
