Bike Break Down
April 11th, 12:30-3pm
Afterparty, 3-4pm
Help is needed from volunteers to strip parts, dismantle bicycles and load the remains into an industrial sized bin to recycle the metal. Last year the Co-op recycled 12 tons of metal. EarthShare volunteers will provide the Co-op with needed parts and space to accept new donations.
1612 Acadia St, Durham, NC 27701 (Look for the LAST driveway on the right side of the block next to the sound barrier for I85)
The Co-op’s parking area is limited so parking on Acadia St is recommended.
Participants should wear close-toed shoes, and bring gloves and a hat.
The Durham Co-op will provide bike stands, bike tools, guidance on how to remove parts.
This is a rain or shine event. In the case of inclement weather, the workday will resume the following day, Fri. April 12, 12:30-3pm.
